Gorgeous Sunset at the Garrett County Fair

I attended the Garrett County fair last night and while watching the Tractor Pulls, we were blessed with a gorgeous sunset.   If you haven’t been to the fair, you need to stop by.  It is definitely a very cheap night.  $10 ride all night last night and free access to all the shows.  Cooter’s from Dukes of Hazard has his own band and will be performing this evening.

Black-eyed Susan in full bloom

The flowers finally peaked at the office. They only stick around for a short amount of time before they disappear again. .

Lovely evening. Somethings never get old., a photo by gotbob on Flickr. You gotta love Garrett county sunsets. We aren’t always blessed with a gorgeous sky like this evening because the clouds aren’t always this photogenic. Things are getting busy around here

It’s been a while since I have posted anything, and that’s because I have been pretty busy.  Work, Soccer and photography has all been time consuming.  My work has been juried and accepted to be shown in the Garrett County Art Gallery.  That was pretty exciting for me. I have been shooting nature for some time now, but never had the confidence that it was public worthy for resale.  With a lot of pushing from friends, I did it.  A […]

Northern Garrett Basketball season in full swing

Now that soccer is over, I am now involved with the NHS Basketball program.  I am helping out both the boys and the girls program, but mostly the girls since most of them are from my soccer teams. It’s been a tough start for the Varsity Lady Huskies.  They are still looking for their first win.  It is a new era for all involved with the loss of three very talented seniors last year as well as the coaching staff. […]

Veterans Day at Garrett Community College

Danielle at my office hung up some flyers about an event at GCC a few weeks ago that I thought would be pretty interesting.  They are participating in a Remembrance Day National Roll Call of all the veterans from the Iraq war from the last ten years.  A total of 6313 names will be read today by family, friends, vets, and local dignitaries including a retired two star General today.  There are 183 schools participating the reading of the Roll […]

Award winning photo for Autumn

This photo got a little recognition from a contest that I entered on Maryland Tourism Facebook page.  I had decided a day before that I needed to improve my portfolio of Autumn shots.  A lot of the shots that I use in advertisements for my office are supplied by me.  I have tons of winter photos, but seem to always miss the prime time for the Autumn bliss.  Well, needless to say, I snapped this shot and a few others […]
